Saturday mornings for this family are for dressing like a princess, eating apple cinnamon pancakes, creating art, practicing violin, reading books and lots and lots of giggles.
Sessions like this are why I do photography. The raw beauty and intimate moments were effortless to capture. I see perfection in unmade beds, messy art tables, favorite costumes, meeting a child's favorite toy and then sitting down for breakfast with the entire family (favorite toys included) There is a calmness to photo sessions when they are like this. It's captivating to remember childhood as it was every day. The laughter that happens in the moments in between is what I chase with my camera. Capturing this family on a typical Saturday morning fed my soul. I left full of good food and inspired as a photographer and as a mother.
This is their story.
